गच्छता तेन मार्गेण मखे दक्षप्रजापतेः । ततश्चिरं समालोक्य स्मितं कृत्वा स कौतुकात् । जगामाथ समुल्लंघ्य ऐश्वर्यमदगर्वितः

gacchatā tena mārgeṇa makhe dakṣaprajāpateḥ | tataściraṃ samālokya smitaṃ kṛtvā sa kautukāt | jagāmātha samullaṃghya aiśvaryamadagarvitaḥ

Ketika dia melalui jalan itu menuju korban suci Dakṣa Prajāpati, dia memandang lama; lalu, sambil tersenyum kerana sekadar hiburan, dia melompat menyeberang—mabuk angkuh oleh kebesaran kuasa ketuhanannya.
