Skanda Purana — Nagara Khanda, Shloka 43

तेषां तद्वचनं श्रुत्वा प्रतिपन्नं द्विजोत्तमैः । निर्धनैः सधनैश्चापि सस्पृहैर्निःस्पृहैरपि

teṣāṃ tadvacanaṃ śrutvā pratipannaṃ dvijottamaiḥ | nirdhanaiḥ sadhanaiścāpi saspṛhairniḥspṛhairapi

Setelah mendengar kata-kata itu, para dwija-utama menerima keputusan tersebut—baik yang miskin mahupun yang kaya, yang berhasrat mahupun yang tidak berhasrat, semuanya sama.
