तस्यां यः कुरुते स्नानं मासि वै फाल्गुने नरः । सोपवासः सिताष्टम्यां वांछितं लभते च सः
tasyāṃ yaḥ kurute snānaṃ māsi vai phālgune naraḥ | sopavāsaḥ sitāṣṭamyāṃ vāṃchitaṃ labhate ca saḥ
Sesiapa yang mandi di vāpī itu pada bulan Phālguna, dan berpuasa (upavāsa) pada hari kelapan paruh terang, dia memperoleh anugerah yang dihajati.

Scene: Pilgrims at a stone-lined sacred well at dawn in Phālguna; one devotee, fasting, offers arghya and prays with folded hands; subtle divine radiance over the water.
When devotion is paired with disciplined observance (snāna and upavāsa) at a tīrtha, one’s rightful aims are fulfilled through dharma.
The sin-destroying vāpī near Agastya-kuṇḍa described in the preceding verse.
Bathed in the vāpī during Phālguna and observe a fast on śuklāṣṭamī (bright 8th lunar day) for fulfillment of wishes.
