तस्मादेतानि संत्यज्य हेमगर्भाणि दूरतः । उदुम्बराणि यास्यामः फलानि विगतस्पृहाः
tasmādetāni saṃtyajya hemagarbhāṇi dūrataḥ | udumbarāṇi yāsyāmaḥ phalāni vigataspṛhāḥ
Oleh itu, setelah membuang jauh yang berisi emas ini, kami akan menuju kepada buah udumbara, tanpa sebarang ketamakan.

Scene: Sages fling the gold-filled fruits away into the distance and walk toward a cluster of ordinary udumbara fruits, their faces serene and untempted.
Merit in a sacred context increases through renunciation: abandoning tempting wealth and living simply without craving.
The teaching glorifies the tirtha-ideal itself: sacred travel is fulfilled by purity and non-possessiveness, not by material gain.
A conduct-rule for pilgrims/ascetics: reject wealth and accept simple, sattvic sustenance.
