Type: kshetra
Listener: Dvija-uttamāḥ
Scene: A sacred landscape where small creatures—moths near a lamp, birds in flight, cattle by a river, deer in a grove—are enveloped by a gentle divine light at the moment of death, with a subtle celestial pathway opening upward toward svarga.
The holiness of the kṣetra is so intense that its salvific grace extends beyond humans to all living beings.
The same kṣetra described in Adhyāya 26, acclaimed for granting svarga even to creatures that die within its bounds.
None; it is a phalaśruti about the merit associated with death occurring within the sacred boundary.
