तस्मिन्पंगुत्वमापन्ने दैत्ये परमदारुणे । कस्यचित्त्वथ कालस्य देवराजो बृहस्पतिम् । प्रोवाच दुःखसंतप्त आषाढांते सुरो त्तमः
tasminpaṃgutvamāpanne daitye paramadāruṇe | kasyacittvatha kālasya devarājo bṛhaspatim | provāca duḥkhasaṃtapta āṣāḍhāṃte suro ttamaḥ
“Tatkala daitya yang amat mengerikan itu jatuh menjadi tempang, setelah beberapa waktu, raja para dewa—Indra—yang dilanda dukacita, bertitah kepada Bṛhaspati pada penghujung bulan Āṣāḍha.”
