ततः स्वस्त्युदकं दद्यात्पितृपूर्वं च सव्यतः । न स्त्रीभिर्न च बालेन नान्ये नैव च केनचित्
tataḥ svastyudakaṃ dadyātpitṛpūrvaṃ ca savyataḥ | na strībhirna ca bālena nānye naiva ca kenacit
Sesudah itu hendaklah diberikan air ‘svasti’ (svasti-udaka) untuk kesejahteraan, bermula dengan para Pitṛ (leluhur) dan dari sisi kiri (savyataḥ). Upacara ini tidak boleh dilakukan oleh wanita, bukan oleh kanak-kanak, dan bukan oleh sesiapa pun yang lain sebagai ganti pelaksana yang layak.
