एतस्मात्कारणादन्नं नित्यं देयं तथोदकम् । समुद्दिश्य पितॄन्राजन्यतस्ते तन्मयाः स्मृताः
etasmātkāraṇādannaṃ nityaṃ deyaṃ tathodakam | samuddiśya pitṝnrājanyataste tanmayāḥ smṛtāḥ
Oleh sebab itu, wahai raja, makanan dan air haruslah dipersembahkan setiap hari kepada para Leluhur (Pitṛs), kerana mereka diingati sebagai yang dipelihara melalui persembahan itu.
