शुक्लपक्षं समासाद्य तारापतिरिवांबरे । वर्धमानस्य तस्यैवमतीताः पंच वत्सराः । बालक्रीडाप्रसक्तस्य पितुरुत्सङ्गवर्तिनः
śuklapakṣaṃ samāsādya tārāpatirivāṃbare | vardhamānasya tasyaivamatītāḥ paṃca vatsarāḥ | bālakrīḍāprasaktasya piturutsaṅgavartinaḥ
Seperti paruh bulan terang yang kian membesar, laksana tuan bintang di angkasa, demikianlah anak itu membesar; maka berlalu lima tahun—sedang ia asyik bermain seperti kanak-kanak dan berada di pangkuan ayahnya.
