विश्वामित्र उवाच । तस्य तं निश्चयं ज्ञात्वा शस्त्रमादाय निर्मलम् । चकर्ताथ भुजौ तस्य भ्राता भ्रातुश्च निर्घृणः । सोपि च्छिन्नकरो विप्रो व्यथयापि समन्वितः
viśvāmitra uvāca | tasya taṃ niścayaṃ jñātvā śastramādāya nirmalam | cakartātha bhujau tasya bhrātā bhrātuśca nirghṛṇaḥ | sopi cchinnakaro vipro vyathayāpi samanvitaḥ
Viśvāmitra berkata: Mengetahui tekadnya yang teguh, abangnya—yang tidak berbelas kasihan walaupun terhadap saudaranya sendiri—mengambil senjata yang suci dan memotong lengannya. Brahmana itu juga, dengan tangan yang terputus, dipenuhi dengan kesakitan.
