Skanda Purana — Nagara Khanda, Shloka 39

अथ ये तत्र मूर्खाः स्युर्न वेदपठने रताः । पुष्पदानं तु वक्तव्यं तैः संतुष्टैर्द्विजोत्तमैः

atha ye tatra mūrkhāḥ syurna vedapaṭhane ratāḥ | puṣpadānaṃ tu vaktavyaṃ taiḥ saṃtuṣṭairdvijottamaiḥ

Sekarang, jika di sana ada orang yang bodoh dan tidak tekun dalam pembacaan Veda, maka para Brahmana yang utama—setelah berkenan hati—hendaklah menasihati mereka supaya mempersembahkan sedekah bunga.
