विश्वामित्र उवाच । कीर्तयिष्ये नरव्याघ्र कारणानि बहूनि च । चमत्कारस्य पत्न्याश्च दानेन पतिता यतः
viśvāmitra uvāca | kīrtayiṣye naravyāghra kāraṇāni bahūni ca | camatkārasya patnyāśca dānena patitā yataḥ
Viśvāmitra berkata: “Wahai harimau di antara manusia, akan aku kisahkan banyak sebab. Sesungguhnya isteri Camatkāra telah jatuh daripada kepatutan kerana suatu pemberian (dāna).”
