Daśārṇa (king of Daśārṇa)
Scene: A royal audience: the Daśārṇa king, composed and firm, declines the proposal; courtiers hold their breath as the refusal is delivered with measured dignity.
It portrays a ruler framing his choice as a matter of dharmic propriety, showing how ‘right conduct’ is invoked to justify action.
No named tīrtha is present in this verse.
Implicitly, the refusal concerns vivāha (marriage) and pāṇigrahaṇa, but no new ritual instruction is given here.
