यो जपेद्ब्राह्मणस्तस्याः सावित्रीं पुरतः स्थितः । तस्य यत्स्यात्फलं विप्राः श्रूयतां तद्वदामि वः

yo japedbrāhmaṇastasyāḥ sāvitrīṃ purataḥ sthitaḥ | tasya yatsyātphalaṃ viprāḥ śrūyatāṃ tadvadāmi vaḥ

Jika seorang brāhmaṇa, berdiri di hadapannya, melafazkan Sāvitrī (mantra), maka dengarlah, wahai para brāhmaṇa: akan aku nyatakan kepada kamu buah yang terbit daripadanya.
