Skanda Purana — Nagara Khanda, Shloka 82

तथा चतुष्पदानां च तेषां गृहनिवासिनाम् । न तस्य भेषजानि स्युर्न मंत्रा न चिकित्सकाः

tathā catuṣpadānāṃ ca teṣāṃ gṛhanivāsinām | na tasya bheṣajāni syurna maṃtrā na cikitsakāḥ

Demikian juga, bagi haiwan berkaki empat yang tinggal di rumah mereka, bagi penyakit itu tidak diperlukan ubat-ubatan—tiada mantera, dan tiada tabib diperlukan.
