Skanda Purana — Nagara Khanda, Shloka 9

तुष्टेऽतिथौ गृहस्थस्य तुष्टाः स्युः सर्वदेवताः । विमुखे विमुखाः सर्वा भवंति च न संशयः

tuṣṭe'tithau gṛhasthasya tuṣṭāḥ syuḥ sarvadevatāḥ | vimukhe vimukhāḥ sarvā bhavaṃti ca na saṃśayaḥ

Apabila tetamu si gṛhastha berpuas hati, semua dewa pun berkenan. Apabila tetamu berpaling dengan hati tidak senang, semua dewa juga berpaling—tiada keraguan.
