ब्रह्मोवाच । क्षत्रियेण प्रजातस्य द्विजत्वं जायते कथम् । श्रुतिस्मृतिविरुद्धं हि किमेवं वदसीप्सितम्

brahmovāca | kṣatriyeṇa prajātasya dvijatvaṃ jāyate katham | śrutismṛtiviruddhaṃ hi kimevaṃ vadasīpsitam

Brahmā bersabda: Bagaimanakah seseorang yang lahir daripada Kṣatriya dapat mencapai kedudukan dvija (dua kali lahir)? Hal ini tampak bertentangan dengan Śruti dan Smṛti—mengapa engkau berkata demikian, seolah-olah disengajakan?
