Sūta (deduced from immediate narrative frame in Tīrthamāhātmya)
Type: kshetra
Scene: A self-controlled pilgrim worships a circle of devas in the kṣetra with folded hands, lamp and flowers; above, a dark ‘untimely death’ shadow recedes, replaced by a protective aura.
Devotion joined with self-restraint, performed according to sacred timing, is said to protect life and stabilize destiny.
The teaching belongs to the Hāṭakeśvara-kṣetra / Amareśvara-kuṇḍa Māhātmya stream in Nāgarakhaṇḍa.
Worship (pūjā) of the divine hosts on the ‘stated day’ (yathokta divasa), implying tithi-observance as taught in the surrounding verses.
