एवं तस्या व्रतस्थाया जरा सम्यगुपस्थिता । तथापि तेजसो वृद्धिर्ववृधे तपसा कृता
evaṃ tasyā vratasthāyā jarā samyagupasthitā | tathāpi tejaso vṛddhirvavṛdhe tapasā kṛtā
Demikianlah, walaupun usia tua datang kepadanya dengan sewajarnya ketika dia tetap teguh dalam vrata (nazar suci), namun sinar tejasnya terus bertambah—dibesarkan oleh kuasa tapa (pertapaan) yang dilakukannya.
