किमर्थं च समाचक्ष्व सूतपुत्रात्र विस्तरात् । कौतुकं परमं जातं सर्वेषां नो द्विजन्मनाम्
kimarthaṃ ca samācakṣva sūtaputrātra vistarāt | kautukaṃ paramaṃ jātaṃ sarveṣāṃ no dvijanmanām
Dan atas sebab apakah hal itu terjadi? Terangkanlah di sini dengan terperinci, wahai putera Sūta; dalam diri kami semua yang dua-kali-lahir telah timbul rasa ingin tahu yang amat besar.
