ते मथ्यमानास्त्वरिता देवाः स्वात्मार्थसाधकाः । अभिलाषपराः सर्वे न श्रृण्वंति यतो जडाः

Transliteration

te mathyamānāstvaritā devāḥ svātmārthasādhakāḥ | abhilāṣaparāḥ sarve na śrṛṇvaṃti yato jaḍāḥ

Translation

Namun para dewa itu tergesa-gesa mengacau (lautan) demi mencapai kepentingan diri semata; semuanya dikuasai keinginan, lalu tidak mahu mendengar, kerana hati mereka tumpul dan beku.
