त्रिभिर्गुणैर्व्याप्तमिदं चराचरं जगन्महद्व्याप्यथ वाल्पकं वा । मायामयं सर्वमिदं विभाति लिंगं विना केन कुतोविभाति
tribhirguṇairvyāptamidaṃ carācaraṃ jaganmahadvyāpyatha vālpakaṃ vā | māyāmayaṃ sarvamidaṃ vibhāti liṃgaṃ vinā kena kutovibhāti
Seluruh alam ini—yang bergerak dan yang tidak bergerak, sama ada besar atau kecil—diliputi oleh tiga guṇa. Segala-galanya tampak sebagai perwujudan māyā; tanpa Liṅga, tanda dan kehadiran Tuhan, oleh siapa dan bagaimana ia dapat tampak sama sekali?
