Sūta (Lomaharṣaṇa) to the sages (deduced)
Tirtha: Kedāra/Kedāranātha
Type: kshetra
Listener: Śakra (Indra)
Scene: Śiva as Tryambaka with three eyes and dark throat, radiant as Bharga, with Gaurī beside him; a devotee offers repeated prostrations, seeking victory over death and auspiciousness.
Taking refuge in Śiva as Mṛtyuñjaya and the cause of causes grants fearlessness and aligns life with auspicious dharma.
The Kedārakhaṇḍa context ties this Mṛtyuñjaya-style praise to Kedāra’s Śiva worship and the merit of pilgrimage in that region.
No direct injunction appears; the verse is suited for protective japa and stotra-recitation, especially in Śiva temples and tīrthas.
