Sūta (Lomaharṣaṇa) to the sages (deduced from Māheśvarakhaṇḍa context)
Tirtha: Kedāra tīrthas (general)
Type: tirtha
Scene: A ‘pilgrimage manual’ tableau: pilgrims bathe at a river ghat, then proceed to a liṅga shrine for arcana; a learned guide gestures to a map-like sequence of sites, indicating ‘vibhāga’ (distinctions) and careful performance.
Dharma is fulfilled through informed practice—wisdom applies right distinctions to worship and pilgrimage rites.
Tīrthas of the Kedāra region are implied, as the chapter frames worship and snāna within Kedārakhaṇḍa pilgrimage culture.
Perform Śiva pūjā according to the stated gradations of place, and do tīrtha bathing and allied observances carefully.
