Type: kshetra
Scene: Two contrasted groups: some with rudrākṣa and ash yet entangled in worldly nets; others walking lightly toward a luminous Śiva-abode—illustrating the difference between outer devotion and inner freedom.
Devotion must be accompanied by inner detachment; craving and worldly obsession obstruct attainment of the Supreme.
No single location is named; the verse gives a universal Kedārakhaṇḍa teaching aligned with pilgrimage as a means to cultivate vairāgya and Śiva-bhakti.
No explicit ritual is prescribed; the implied discipline is vairāgya (freedom from rāga) alongside sincere bhakti.
