यदा यदा हि धर्मस्य ग्लानिराविर्भवेद्धरिः । तदातदावतीर्याहं विष्णोरस्य सहायिनी
yadā yadā hi dharmasya glānirāvirbhaveddhariḥ | tadātadāvatīryāhaṃ viṣṇorasya sahāyinī
Setiap kali dharma merosot dan Hari (Viṣṇu) menzahirkan diri, pada saat itulah aku juga turun menjelma, menjadi pembantu serta pendamping bagi Viṣṇu itu.
