देव्युवाच । अहं च रक्षयिष्यामि स्वभक्तं कृष्णमृत्युतः । यस्माच्च चंडिकाकृत्ये कृतोऽनेन महारणः । तस्माच्चंडिलनाम्नायं विश्वपूज्यो भविष्यति
devyuvāca | ahaṃ ca rakṣayiṣyāmi svabhaktaṃ kṛṣṇamṛtyutaḥ | yasmācca caṃḍikākṛtye kṛto'nena mahāraṇaḥ | tasmāccaṃḍilanāmnāyaṃ viśvapūjyo bhaviṣyati
Dewi bersabda: “Aku juga akan melindungi bhaktaku, Kṛṣṇa, daripada maut. Dan kerana dalam khidmat kepada Caṇḍikā dia telah bertempur dalam suatu peperangan besar, maka dia akan termasyhur di seluruh dunia dan dipuja dengan nama ‘Caṇḍila’.”
