Skanda Purana — Mahesvara Khanda, Shloka 91

विमुक्तिमथवा वांछेद्विसृजेद्ब्रह्ममूर्धनि । संति देहे विमुक्ते च उपसर्गाश्च ये पुनः

vimuktimathavā vāṃchedvisṛjedbrahmamūrdhani | saṃti dehe vimukte ca upasargāśca ye punaḥ

Sesiapa yang mendambakan vimukti (pembebasan) hendaklah melepaskan prāṇa/kesedaran melalui Brahma-dvāra di ubun-ubun. Namun, ada juga rintangan yang timbul—baik ketika masih berjasad mahupun pada saat pelepasan itu sendiri.
