भावशुद्धिः परं शौचं प्रमाणं सर्वकर्मसु । अन्यथालिंग्यते कांता भावेन दुहिताऽन्यथा
bhāvaśuddhiḥ paraṃ śaucaṃ pramāṇaṃ sarvakarmasu | anyathāliṃgyate kāṃtā bhāvena duhitā'nyathā
Kesucian niat ialah kebersihan yang tertinggi dan ukuran yang benar dalam segala perbuatan. Jika tidak, kerana sikap batin yang tersalah, seseorang boleh memeluk kekasih seolah-olah anak perempuannya—atau memeluk anak perempuannya seolah-olah orang lain.
