Skanda Purana — Mahesvara Khanda, Shloka 9

शक्रदीनां पुरे तिष्ठन्स्पृशत्येष पुरत्रयम् । विकीर्णोऽतो विकर्णस्थस्त्रिकोणार्धपुरे तथा

śakradīnāṃ pure tiṣṭhanspṛśatyeṣa puratrayam | vikīrṇo'to vikarṇasthastrikoṇārdhapure tathā

Berdiri di kota-kota Indra dan para dewa yang lain, baginda (Surya) menyentuh “tiga kota” samawi dalam peredarannya. Maka baginda disebut “tersebar”, yakni berada pada segala arah, serta bergerak melalui pembahagian segi tiga dan bahagian “separuh kota” pada sfera kosmos.
