Skanda Purana — Mahesvara Khanda, Shloka 16

ततः स्कंदभुजोत्सृष्टा भुवं निर्भिद्य वेगतः । प्रविष्टा सहसा शक्तिर्यथा दैवं नरं प्रति

tataḥ skaṃdabhujotsṛṣṭā bhuvaṃ nirbhidya vegataḥ | praviṣṭā sahasā śaktiryathā daivaṃ naraṃ prati

Kemudian lembing yang dilepaskan dari lengan Skanda meluncur deras, menembusi bumi dan serta-merta memasuki alam bawah—sebagaimana takdir menerpa seorang insan.
