Skanda Purana — Mahesvara Khanda, Shloka 63

अनयोर्हि फलं ग्राह्यं सारता नात्र काचन । अर्धदेही च मनुजस्त्वसंस्पृश्यः सतांमतः

anayorhi phalaṃ grāhyaṃ sāratā nātra kācana | ardhadehī ca manujastvasaṃspṛśyaḥ satāṃmataḥ

Daripada kedua-duanya, hanya “hasil lahiriah” yang dapat diambil—tiada hakikat sejati di sini. Dan lelaki yang “berbadan separuh” dipandang oleh orang-orang baik sebagai yang tidak patut disentuh (yakni dijauhi dalam upacara dan adab).
