स्कंद उवाच । कृतानुज्ञा जनेत्रा सा क्षेत्रे परमपावने । तपस्तताप परमं यदसाध्यं तपस्विभिः
skaṃda uvāca | kṛtānujñā janetrā sā kṣetre paramapāvane | tapastatāpa paramaṃ yadasādhyaṃ tapasvibhiḥ
Skanda bersabda: Setelah memperoleh izin ibunya, gadis itu di Kṣetra yang amat menyucikan ini menunaikan tapa yang tertinggi—tapa yang bahkan para pertapa yang telah siddha pun sukar mencapainya.
