Skanda Purana — Kashi Khanda, Shloka 11

कंदमूलफलाहाराः परतत्त्वार्पितेक्षणाः । सत्यवंतो जितक्रोधा निर्मोहा निष्परिग्रहाः

kaṃdamūlaphalāhārāḥ paratattvārpitekṣaṇāḥ | satyavaṃto jitakrodhā nirmohā niṣparigrahāḥ

Mereka hidup dengan umbi, akar dan buah-buahan, dengan pandangan dipersembahkan kepada Hakikat Tertinggi; mereka benar, menaklukkan amarah, bebas daripada delusi, dan tidak menimbun pegangan duniawi.
