Skanda Purana — Kashi Khanda, Shloka 56

हविषा प्रातरश्नीत हविषा सायमेव च । हविषा याचितं त्रींस्तु सोपवासस्त्रयहं वसेत्

haviṣā prātaraśnīta haviṣā sāyameva ca | haviṣā yācitaṃ trīṃstu sopavāsastrayahaṃ vaset

Hendaklah dia makan havis pada waktu pagi dan havis juga pada waktu petang; selama tiga hari hendaklah dia mengambil hanya havis yang diperoleh dengan meminta sedekah, kemudian dengan berpuasa hendaklah dia tinggal selama tiga hari lagi.
