त्वं तु यज्ञपुमानत्र महायज्ञप्रवर्तकः । रक्षिता निजवीर्येण दक्षस्य त्र्यक्षवैरिणः
tvaṃ tu yajñapumānatra mahāyajñapravartakaḥ | rakṣitā nijavīryeṇa dakṣasya tryakṣavairiṇaḥ
Sesungguhnya engkau di sini ialah Insan-Yajña, penggerak upacara agung; dengan keperkasaanmu sendiri engkau menjadi pelindung Dakṣa, musuh Dewa Bermata Tiga (Śiva).
Vīrabhadra
Tirtha: Kāśī
Type: kshetra
Listener: Interlocutors/audience
Scene: Vīrabhadra addresses Viṣṇu directly, acknowledging him as yajña-puruṣa and protector of Dakṣa; Viṣṇu stands calm amid armed attendants, while Vīrabhadra’s fiery aura contrasts with Viṣṇu’s serene radiance.
Ritual (yajña) must align with reverence and dharma; otherwise it becomes a cause of conflict rather than merit.
Kāśī is the overarching sacred landscape of the Kāśīkhaṇḍa; this verse focuses on the yajña-episode rather than a named tīrtha.
The verse references a ‘mahāyajña’ (great sacrifice) but gives no procedural injunction.
