भारद्वाजस्य तनयो दमनो नाम नामतः । कृतमौंजीविधिः सोथ विद्याजातं प्रगृह्य च
bhāradvājasya tanayo damano nāma nāmataḥ | kṛtamauṃjīvidhiḥ sotha vidyājātaṃ pragṛhya ca
Anak Bhāradvāja bernama Damana; setelah menyempurnakan upacara maunjī (upanayana) menurut tatacara, serta menyambut cabang-cabang ilmu, dia pun menempuh jalannya.
