न जाने त्वथ किं वृत्तं काहं क्वाहं स चाथ कः । तं निर्जिगमिषुं सख्यो यावद्धर्तुं प्रसारितः
na jāne tvatha kiṃ vṛttaṃ kāhaṃ kvāhaṃ sa cātha kaḥ | taṃ nirjigamiṣuṃ sakhyo yāvaddhartuṃ prasāritaḥ
Kemudian aku tidak tahu apa yang telah berlaku—siapa aku, di mana aku, bahkan siapa dia. Saat dia hendak pergi, wahai sahabat-sahabatku, aku menghulurkan tangan untuk menahannya, walau sesaat.
