Skanda (deduced: Kāśīkhaṇḍa narrative, typically Skanda to Agastya)
Tirtha: Kapilā-hrada
Type: kund
Scene: Groups of divine pitṛs—Agniṣvātta, Barhiṣad, Ājyapa, Somapa—stand radiant and appeased, turning toward Śambhu as if to report; devas remain reverent after tarpaṇa.
When ancestors are properly honored, they become pleased and responsive—supporting the devotee’s dharma and sacred order.
The context continues the glorification of Kapilā-hrada tīrtha in Kāśī where Pitṛs manifest upon tarpaṇa.
Tarpaṇa is implied as the cause of the Pitṛs’ satisfaction; the verse lists Pitṛ classes traditionally connected with ancestral rites.
