सचैलमाप्लुत्य जलेऽमलेऽमलेऽविलंबमालंबित शुद्धबुद्धिः । संतर्प्य देर्वीषमनुष्यदिव्यपितॄन्पितॄन्स्वान्सहि कर्मकांडवित्
sacailamāplutya jale'male'male'vilaṃbamālaṃbita śuddhabuddhiḥ | saṃtarpya dervīṣamanuṣyadivyapitṝnpitṝnsvānsahi karmakāṃḍavit
Tanpa berlengah, dia mandi dalam air yang bening lagi suci—masih berpakaian—hingga buddhi-nya menjadi murni. Sang arif dalam tatacara ritual itu menunaikan tarpaṇa untuk menyenangkan para dewa, para ṛṣi, manusia, pitṛ ilahi, serta leluhur sendiri.
