śṛṇu prabho ḍhuṃḍhivināyaka tvaṃ vācaṃ madīyāṃ turaṭāmyanāthavat | tvatsthāḥ samastāḥ kila vighnapūgāḥ kimatra durvṛttavadāsthitoham
Dengarlah, wahai Tuhan Ḍhuṃḍhi-Vināyaka, dengarkan kata-kataku; aku merintih segera seperti insan tanpa perlindungan. Jika segala himpunan halangan berada di bawah kuasa-Mu, mengapa aku berdiri di sini seolah-olah seorang yang berbuat jahat?
A devotee/sage addressing Ḍhuṃḍhi-Vināyaka (Gaṇeśa in Kāśī)
Tirtha: Ḍhuṃḍhi-Vināyaka
Type: temple
Listener: Ḍhuṃḍhi-Vināyaka
Scene: A distressed pilgrim kneels before Ḍhuṃḍhi-Vināyaka, hands raised, tears visible; Gaṇeśa sits benevolently yet authoritative, with attendants and offerings; the sense is of a threshold shrine where journeys begin.
When obstacles arise, the devotee turns to Vināyaka, acknowledging his lordship over vighnas and seeking restoration of rightful passage.
Ḍhuṃḍhi-Vināyaka of Kāśī—one of the famed Vināyakas connected with Vārāṇasī’s sacred circuit.
No formal rite stated; it models prayerful appeal (śaraṇāgati) to Vināyaka for obstacle-removal.
