Tirtha: Gaṅgā in Kāśī
Type: ghat
Scene: At a Kāśī ghat, a devotee holds kuśa in hand, offering water mixed with black sesame in a controlled stream; the Gaṅgā flows beside steps, with a small copper lota and a plate of tila; the devotee softly recites names and gotra.
It stresses ongoing gratitude and duty toward the departed through regular ancestral rites.
The practice is taught within the Kāśī Khaṇḍa milieu; the verse itself does not name a particular ghat or tirtha.
Daily tarpaṇa using kuśa-grass and sesame-water, with correct naming and gotra recitation, for husband, his father, and grandfather.
