Skanda (contextual narrator)
Tirtha: Meru-śṛṅga (Purāṇic)
Type: peak
Listener: vipra/brāhmaṇa addressee
Scene: On a radiant Himalayan-cosmic peak, a circle of great sages bow to the Lord of the worlds and pose the single question about the imperishable Reality; clouds and celestial beings witness.
True dharma begins with inquiry into the imperishable principle, approached with reverence and surrender.
Mount Meru is the scene of the ancient dialogue; the broader teaching remains embedded in Kāśīkhaṇḍa’s Kāśī-centered theology.
Praṇāma (bowing) to the Lord is implied as the proper approach before metaphysical inquiry.
