स्कंद उवाच । मुनऽत्र मैत्रावरुणे यथा देवेन भाषितम् । शुणु त्रिपथगामिन्या माहात्म्यं पातकापहम्
skaṃda uvāca | muna'tra maitrāvaruṇe yathā devena bhāṣitam | śuṇu tripathagāminyā māhātmyaṃ pātakāpaham
Skanda bersabda: Wahai resi Maitrāvaruṇa (Agastya), dengarlah di sini kemuliaan Tri-pathagāminī, Gaṅgā, penghapus dosa, tepat sebagaimana telah dituturkan oleh Tuhan.
