Tirtha: Gaṅgā-tīra in Kāśī
Type: ghat
Scene: A devotee at dawn on the Gaṅgā bank offers arghya to the rising Sun, with subtle ancestral presence behind him; a radiant vimāna descends in the sky, suffusing the scene with golden light.
Solar worship joined with remembrance of the Pitṛs elevates the devotee to honored, luminous realms.
The Kāśīkhaṇḍa context centers on Gaṅgā-linked rites in Kāśī (Vārāṇasī), where such offerings gain exceptional merit.
Offering arghya (water oblation) to the Sun, performed along with ancestral intention/association (pitṛ-sambandha).
