काव्ये निगीर्णे गिरिजेश्वरेण दैत्या जयाशा रहिता बभूवुः । हस्तैर्विमुक्ता इव वारणेंद्राः शृंगैर्विहीना इव गोवृषाश्च

kāvye nigīrṇe girijeśvareṇa daityā jayāśā rahitā babhūvuḥ | hastairvimuktā iva vāraṇeṃdrāḥ śṛṃgairvihīnā iva govṛṣāśca

Apabila Kāvya ditelan oleh Girijeśvara (Śiva), para Daitya pun hilang harapan akan kemenangan—laksana gajah raja tanpa belalai, atau lembu jantan dan banteng tanpa tanduk.
