Skanda (deduced from Setukhaṇḍa instructional narration style within Skanda Purāṇa)
Tirtha: Rāmacandra-dhanuṣkoṭi (Dhanushkodi)
Type: ghat
Listener: Dvijas/ritual performers
Scene: At Dhanushkodi’s sandy spit where two seas meet, a wealthy patron offers cows and gold to brāhmaṇas; sesame and ritual items are arranged; a symbolic bow-tip marker recalls Rāma.
Wealth gains sacred purpose when converted into dāna at holy places, strengthening dharma and accruing puṇya.
The Setu region, specifically the locale called Rāmacandra-dhanuṣkoṭi (the ‘bow-tip’ place).
The prosperous should perform dāna—cows, land, sesame, gold, etc.—and observe the same prescribed rite at Rāma’s dhanuṣkoṭi.
