ityukto munibhiḥ pāṃḍyaḥ śaṃkaro dvijapuṃgavāḥ | tathāstu dehasaṃtyāgaṃ kariṣye havyavāhane
Demikianlah yang dikatakan oleh para resi, Raja Pandya Shankara berkata kepada para Brahmana terkemuka itu: "Jadilah demikian. Aku akan menyerahkan tubuhku ke dalam api."
