Type: kshetra
Listener: Rāma (dharma-jña)
Scene: Close, emotionally charged scene: Hanūmān speaks with trembling intensity, eyes moist, hands partly folded; Rāma listens with compassionate steadiness; the sea and the sand-liṅga shrine remain in the background as silent witnesses.
The devotee’s heart may fall into self-blame, yet such honesty becomes the doorway to dharmic correction and renewed grace.
The Setu–Rāmeśvaram episode forms the sacred setting, where Rāma’s worship establishes the tīrtha’s fame.
No direct prescription; the verse expresses the psychological strain of service amid conflict.
