श्रीसूत उवाच । वक्ष्यामि राक्षसं क्रूरं तं विप्राः शृणुतादरात् । यथा स राक्षसो जातो मुनीनां शापवैभवात्

śrīsūta uvāca | vakṣyāmi rākṣasaṃ krūraṃ taṃ viprāḥ śṛṇutādarāt | yathā sa rākṣaso jāto munīnāṃ śāpavaibhavāt

Śrī Sūta bersabda: “Wahai para vipra, aku akan menghuraikan rākṣasa yang kejam itu; dengarlah dengan penuh perhatian—bagaimana ia lahir melalui kedahsyatan kuasa sumpahan para muni.”
